Spotted Draft Horse

The Spotted Draft Horse is a modern draft-type horse developed by combining traditional draft horse bloodlines with Appaloosa and spotted coat genetics. The goal of the breed is to maintain the size, strength, and calm temperament of heavy draft horses while incorporating distinctive leopard complex coat patterns rarely seen in most traditional draft breeds.
Depending on the bloodlines used, Spotted Draft Horses may show influence from breeds such as the Percheron, Belgian Draft, Noriker, Appaloosa, and other heavy horse breeds. They are especially recognized for their colorful spotted coats combined with substantial bone, muscular build, and draft horse presence.
