Norman Cob

The Norman Cob, also known as the Cob Normand, is a French carriage and utility horse breed originating from the Normandy region of France. Developed from Norman draft horses combined with lighter carriage and trotting bloodlines, the breed was created to produce a versatile horse suitable for transport, driving, farm work and riding.
Compared to heavier draft breeds, the Norman Cob is more refined, active and athletic while still maintaining substantial bone and strength. The breed is especially known for its energetic movement, versatility, calm temperament and strong driving ability.
