Welsh Cob

The Welsh Cob is a traditional Welsh horse breed originating from Wales and represents the largest section of the Welsh breeds, also known as the Welsh Cob or Section D. Historically bred as a versatile all-purpose horse, the Welsh Cob was used for farm work, transport, riding, driving, and military purposes due to its strength, endurance and energetic movement.
Compared to heavier draft breeds, the Welsh Cob is more refined and athletic while still maintaining substantial bone, power and a compact sturdy build.
