Haflinger

The Haflinger is a mountain horse breed originating from the Tyrolean Alps of Austria and northern Italy. Originally developed as a hardy utility horse for farm work, transport, and riding in mountainous terrain, the Haflinger is known for its surefootedness, endurance, gentle temperament and distinctive chestnut coat with a light flaxen mane and tail.
Although often smaller than traditional draft breeds, Haflingers are considered a sturdy draft-type or coldblood-influenced breed due to their compact muscular build and working background. .
