Drum Horse

The Drum Horse is a modern draft riding horse type developed primarily in the United Kingdom by crossing heavy draft breeds such as the Shire and Clydesdale with Irish Cob and Gypsy Cob bloodlines. Originally bred to carry the large ceremonial drums used by military parade horses, the Drum Horse combines strength, presence and calm temperament with a more athletic and versatile riding type.
