

Black Forest Horse

The Black Forest Horse, also known as the Black Forest Draft Horse, is a traditional draft breed originating from the Black Forest region of southern Germany. Historically bred for farm work, forestry and carriage driving in mountainous terrain, the breed is known for its reliability, endurance and gentle temperament.
Compared to many heavier coldblood breeds, they are somewhat lighter and more versatile in build while still maintaining strong pulling ability and sturdy conformation.
