Ardennes

The Ardennes is one of the oldest European draft horse breeds, originating from the Ardennes region of Belgium, France and Luxembourg. Historically used as a war horse and later for heavy farm and forestry work, the Ardennes is known for its strength, endurance, compact build and calm temperament.
Compared to many taller draft breeds, Ardennes horses are typically more compact and muscular while still maintaining impressive pulling power and durability.
